How do the KV Bucks ™ convert to cash? How do they earn their cash reward?

As your student works through their lessons, quizzes, and games, they'll earn KV Bucks™! These can be spent on virtual real estate, building stock portfolios, saving, and much more. Plus, there are bonus activities to earn even more KV Bucks™!
When students hit their grade-level milestones, they'll be prompted to securely connect their account to claim their cash reward. Be sure to check your settings within your administrator account to make sure KV Bucks™ are activated for your enrolled students.
Parents and educators can also disable this feature if needed. Students will still earn KV Bucks™ to use within our platform, but they won't be able to cash out.

Question 2

If a student wants to repeat their grade level content to master it, can they earn cash and stock rewards again?

Accepted Answer

While students are absolutely encouraged to repeat their grade level content to ensure mastery, cash and stock rewards can only be earned once per grade level. This means that if a student completes the content more than once, they will benefit from the extra knowledge and practice, but the  rewards will not be awarded again for the same grade level. This policy helps maintain fairness and encourages continuous learning and progression.

Is the stock purchased through the KidVestors app real?

Yes. When you purchase stock through the KidVestors platform and its Partners, the recipient becomes a real shareholder of the selected company, entitled to shareholder rights such as receiving annual reports, declared dividends, voting proxies, and invitations to shareholder meetings.

Which stocks can I choose?

We offer the ability to purchase only stocks that are traded on U.S. stock exchanges, such as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NASDAQ. For example, this includes popular companies like Apple (AAPL), Nike (NKE), Disney (DIS), and Tesla (TSLA).
Stocks listed on international or foreign exchanges (Ex: London Stock Exchange or the Tokyo Stock Exchange, etc.) are not currently available for purchase.
However, thanks to our partnership, non-U.S. residents can still buy shares of companies listed on U.S. exchanges, as long as they comply with their local regulations. So whether you're in the U.S. or abroad, you can still gift ownership in many of the most well-known American companies!

Can non-U.S. residents participate in Earn While You Learn through KidVestors?

Absolutely! Students all over the world can participate in our Earn While You Learn program and receive cash rewards. We use PayPal to send payouts, so if you already have a PayPal account, you can easily connect it to your KidVestors profile. If not, no worries, you can set one up beforehand. Once your PayPal account is linked, you can transfer your funds to any bank account of your choice, no matter where you live!

Can non-U.S. residents purchase stock through KidVestors?

Yes. Non-U.S. residents are generally eligible to purchase select stocks available on U.S exchanges through our platform. However, it's the purchaser's responsibility to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. So whether you're in the U.S. or abroad, you can still gift ownership in many of the most well-known American companies!

What is the Direct Registration System (DRS)?

DRS is an electronic registration system that allows investors to hold securities in book-entry form directly with the transfer agent, eliminating the need for physical certificates or brokerage accounts.

How long does it take to receive the stock certificate or DRS statement?

Accepted Answer

The personalized display certificate is typically shipped within 2 business days. The official ownership documentation, either a registered stock certificate or DRS statement, is mailed directly from the transfer agent to the shareholder's address and may take 3–7 weeks to arrive, depending on processing times.

Can I sell the stock through KidVestors?

No. KidVestors and its affiliates do not facilitate the sale of stocks. To sell your shares, you must do so through a registered stock broker or authorized transfer agent.

Can I transfer the stock to a brokerage account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you have a physical stock certificate, you can deposit it into most traditional brokerage accounts. If your shares are held electronically via DRS, you can initiate an Incoming DRS Transfer through your receiving broker. Note that some online brokers, like Robinhood, may not support DRS transfers.

What if I already own shares through another investment account?

If you already own shares through a brokerage, index fund, or retirement account and want a physical representation of your ownership, you can still purchase a replica stock certificate for display purposes. Remember, these replicas are decorative and do not confer legal ownership.
